Elliot Woods is a digital media artist from Manchester UK. He tests alternative futures between humans and visual design technologies (e.g. cameras, projectors, computation). He has created large scale light field art installations which draw floating images of the sun out of sunlight, or moons from hundreds of calibrated projector beams. Often these experiments involve developing new techniques, and these techniques have become encapsulated in the computer code of over over 100 open source libraries which Elliot has created and released for free on GitHub.
Elliot co-founded Kimchi and Chips artist Mimi Son, an experimental art studio based in Seoul which creates public artworks that uncover new technical and aesthetic territory. Here he can applies his past studies in the field of physics to produce sense-able phenomena from abstract domains.
